Hi there, my name is Bek and I love all things creative. As a child I used to copy the illustrations from my favorite picture books. I would then record myself reading the stories in various “voices” on my cassette player. As a teenager I would draw portraits of my teachers on the desks (terribly rebellious I know) and as a young adult at The Lyme Academy of Fine Arts, I loved drawing and painting the models from life. I feel incredibly blessed to be able to awaken my inner child by writing and illustrating children’s books! As one can probably tell I’m also quite the animal lover and most of my stories do have pets as the “main characters.” I also have a site dedicated to pets! www.bekspetportraits.com
