I write children’s fiction and educational materials. On winning a competition in 2007, I was commissioned to write three short stories, The Ghost Twin Tales, for the anthology, Mini Mysteries and Kooky Spookies. These featured the comical exploits of mischievous ghost twins, Wiggle and Woo. Shortly after, I entered the first Munch Bunch Children’s Writing Competition. On this occasion, my prize winning entry Munch, The Storytelling Cow was recorded as a podcast by celebrity presenter Gail Porter. More of my short stories for children, including a narrative poem, appeared in the UCLan press publication Letters To Africa.

Educational publications are Speaking English, a self-help guide to spoken English for non-native speakers with Studymates, as well as Key Stage 3 poetry resource packs and a Guide to Creative Writing Workshops for A Level with Zig Zag Publications.

In 2011 I graduated with a MA in Writing for Children from the University of Central Lancashire. Whilst studying towards the Masters Degree, I broadened my skills to encompass both novel and screenwriting. I’ve enjoyed developing and delivering a range of literacy and creative writing courses, workshops and programmes in a variety of community settings throughout North East England. As a self-employed tutor of English and Literacy, I continue to share my passion for literacy with others, whilst developing my own writing.

I have recently published a book called Red God/Black God. It is available on Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com
