My name is Andrew Joseph Lysaught, but am called Blue by friends. I am from Chicago and have been doodling and scribbling in my notebook since I can remember. My first children’s book was published in 2014 entitled A Bear Discovered and can be found on Amazon, Barnes&Noble, and iTunes. I try to combine the musical wit and artistic message of Jimi Hendrix and Dr. Seuss in my writing and take great inspiration from them. From the title of this story you may infer that I love nature; I’ve hiked the jungles of Costa Rica, climbed the mountains of Yosemite, and crawled through the Cu Chi tunnels of Viet Nam. Currently I am a graduate student studying Behavioral Science at Cornell University, and hope to one day translate my research into more emotionally compelling children’s literature. I am super excited to share with you now a story I have been working on for two whole years. Please enjoy Vieda Vampa and the Mother of Flowers!
